My love for animals has shaped every part of my life. I spent five years studying animal care, nutrition, veterinary health and behaviour at college and university, building a deep understanding of welfare, enrichment and what it takes to create safe, stimulating environments where animals can truly thrive. I saw how enrichment, routine and high standards of care can fully transform an animal’s wellbeing. 
After graduating, I worked as a zookeeper for four years — an experience that deepened my respect for animal wellbeing and the impact of thoughtful, consistent care.
For the last 12 years, I’ve been caring for pets in their own homes, mainly cats but also a whole mix of other animals. That hands‑on experience has shown me what pets really need: comfort, stimulation, security and love. I’ve also witnessed the deep connection between pets and the people who adore them, and how much comfort that bond brings.
Alongside this, I’ve worked part‑time in rescue centres and cat boarding establishments, supporting animals at every stage of their journey — from rehabilitation to rehoming to temporary care.
All of these experiences have shaped Snuggle Boxes. They’re not just curated gifts; they’re created with knowledge, compassion and over a decade of real, hands‑on animal care.
